Donation by PAPER AXON S.A. to the Southeast Attica Traffic Police

On Friday, February 21, 2020, an event was held to mark the reception of modern equipment, donated by PAPER AXON S.A., at the Southeast Attica Traffic Police Department in Keratea (formerly the Keratea Traffic Police Department), aimed at enhancing the department’s operational capabilities.

Specifically, the company donated two state-of-the-art Dräger Alcotest 6820 breathalyzers, significantly contributing to the department’s efforts in promoting road safety and protecting public health. This donation is expected to be of considerable assistance to the traffic police department, as they now have cutting-edge tools to combat the unlawful behavior of drivers in today’s society.

The event was attended by representatives of PAPER AXON S.A., Mr. Spyros Marinis and Mr. Ioannis Gkinis. Also present was the Civil Protection Officer of the Municipality of Saronikos, Mr. Antonis Gkinis, whose contribution was deemed particularly significant as he played a key role in bringing this initiative to fruition. The equipment was officially handed over to the police officers of the department, with the Head of the Keratea Traffic Police, Mr. Apostolos Banttis, expressing his sincere gratitude for this generous donation and acknowledging the substantial support of PAPER AXON S.A. to the work of the Hellenic Police.

In its statement, PAPER AXON S.A. emphasized its commitment to the principles of social responsibility, striving to ensure that each donation has a meaningful impact on society as a whole. After all, donations like this improve the broader community and lay the foundation for positive developments in the near future.

Mr. Banttis, the Head of the Keratea Traffic Police, and Mr. Gkinis, the Civil Protection Officer, underscored the importance of close collaboration between public services and organizations, with the shared goal of reducing—and, where possible, eliminating—traffic accidents in the region. Although this phenomenon remains persistent, initiatives such as this aim to address the issue effectively.

It is worth noting that this is not the first contribution from PAPER AXON S.A., as on February 7, 2020, the company made a donation to the Markopoulo Fire Department, strengthening its operational readiness and improving the department’s infrastructure.
